Ray and Nancy Stanis

This picture of Nancy and me was taken last month.

Thanks,

Ray (Bud) Stanis

Steve,

During mass at our 1999 reunion, Tim Hull nailed it when he said that our daily schedule of prayer, work and play taught us how to have a healthy balance in life. That equilibrium has certainly been a key factor in my life.

I was aware from a very young age that difficult situations or getting into trouble didn't bother me. That trait was both a strength and a weakness as a kid. Maryknoll, the faculty, Brothers and especially my fellow students helped develop that trait into a strong and positive component of my character. I matured with the help of people at Maryknoll who had successfully made that passage into adulthood and friends who had a much clearer insight on how to achieve that goal.

Like others, I have been very blessed. Nancy and I are celebrating our fortieth year of marriage. We have three strong, beautiful children and four, fifth due in early September, grandchildren. I still love to work; tool and die business is slow but so far we're okay. I ride my bicycle as hard and as often as I can.

So, that's it; Maryknoll, all of you guys, thanks.

Skip Flynn Checks In

Gentlemen and Ladies,

I am sorry that I will not be able to make it to New York next week. I have had a two years-long standing commitment to deliver a number of presentations at a conference in South Carolina next week. Hope all goes well for all of you. The two photos are both about two years old - the second is with a couple of my students climbing Hua Mountain during my last teaching tour in China - arranged by Scott Harris. I will keep all of you in my prayers next week and hope it is a great opportunity for renewing the great spirit of youth.
Fraternally,
Skip

OK All You Laggards...

My son Daniel gave me a haircut, but first he shaved away the top and left the sides. I am making a goofy face, so what you'll see in person in a week should be less startling! Let's hope anyway!

Laggards Alert!

Please send in a Picture! Lessen the chance of someone thoughtlessly blurting out, "Oh My God, is that really you, Alvin*? What happened?"

Please provide a link to the picture (as a comment to this post) if it is online somewhere OR email it to me as an attachment at:

SRKrause47@gmail.com

I'll do the rest.

(Something fairly recent and Photoshop away the worst parts if you must!)

Steve

*Trivia: Alvin, Simon and Theodore were AKA as what? 1958! Most of us were about 11? They later had a TV series and a movie.
